Dublin Holiday 2017: Day One

Hey everyone I am back from Holiday now, but I have to say I wish I was still there. I was lucky enough to travel to Ireland this past week for about 5 days, and it was the best experience of my life. For such a small country it is full of absolutely breathtaking scenery, and feats of architectural genius. I stayed in Dublin for a lot of the trip but also took a few day trips out to Tipperary, Cork and Belfast. I am so excited to share my trip with you, and maybe give you some travel inspiration for the future. Enjoy!

Day One

We arrived about midday after leaving home at midnight and enduring a 7 1/2 hour plane ride. We went straight from the airport to our rooms at O’Shea’s pub turned Hotel in Dublin. We were so lucky because despite booking two twin beds they gave us two joint rooms with a double bed in one and two twins in the other. The pub downstairs had amazing food, and at night really great live entertainment.

Maybe it was the jet-lag or the excitement of being in a new country, but somehow we ended up missing our scheduled walking tour of Dublin. So we decided to wander around Dublin aimlessly for a couple of hours. We started out at Trinity College which is honestly one of the most beautiful university campuses that i’ve ever seen. After that we went around to some shops including the ever popular Marks & Spencer.

After a few hours of walking around we went to a pub crawl/ traditional Irish music performances at a few different pubs around Dublin. It was so much fun, and our two guides/ musicians were incredibly talented and really funny. Not to mention the drinks were also really good.

I was there for a few more days after, but since it’ll make it easier to read (and write), I have decided to break it up into 1 post per day. So I hope you enjoyed this post, and that you will come back for day 2 tomorrow.

Cheers and much love
